Oscar Chen

Software Engineer

Oscar has experience building scalable software systems for energy storage, virtual power plants, and decarbonization applications. Prior to joining Gridmatic, he held engineering roles at Qcells Geli and Onsemble, where he developed cloud platforms for distributed energy resource optimization, simulations infrastructure, and AI-powered energy applications. He also brings full-stack and data platform experience from earlier roles at Better, Civis Analytics, and Google. Oscar holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Swarthmore College.
