Our story
After the birth of his first child, Stanford scholar and Google alum Matt Wytock decided to refocus his talents to make the world a better place. He realized energy markets played a central role in decarbonizing the grid, but needed to be modernized to enable renewable energy to move forward and replace fossil fuels.
HE KNEW THERE WAS A BETTER WAY, AND GRIDMATIC WAS BORN.
Our team of researchers, engineers, data scientists, and energy veterans are transforming electricity trading by applying AI and machine learning algorithms to bring better predictability to the grid – a necessary factor to stabilize solar and wind pricing and accelerate the adoption of renewable energy.

With a mission to decarbonize the grid, we built world-class AI to model energy supply, demand, transmission, and transactions. After multiple years of proven market profitability, we set out to offer our services to energy generators and consumers.
Today
We’re disrupting energy markets as we know them, working with buyers and sellers to optimize the dispatch, operation, and integration of renewable energy and storage assets through our deep learning models.
